The Anthony’s Cafe building previously housed the Highland Custard Shop and Porters House, which were two icons of the downtown Highland Area. As a child, Tony frequently visited the Highland Custard Shop and created some great memories. So when the building became available for sale, Tony knew – that, then and there – was the time to open his cafe.
” The timing was right and the building always and continues to have a magical feel to it. It has always been a place of fun, laughter and great food. I have been lucky enough to take it to the next level!” – Tony.
“The previous Highland Custard Shop and Porters House owner, Tom Porter of Highland, was an important element in the transition to Anthony’s Cafe. Tom was very helpful in many ways and to him I will always be grateful. Tom and I are Chefs by trade and share a lot of the same core values in business and community. I believe Tom is proud to see the cafe to be taken to the next level. Thanks Tom.”
